The Jordan Courtside 23 is available in men’s sizing. It has a lacing system that gives a secure lockdown. Its mid-top profile offers ample ankle support as well as protection. The upper is made of leather and textile that gives sufficient foot breathability.

Exhibiting a sporty mid-top profile, the Jordan Courtside 23 has a premium and pristine appearance thanks to its leather and textile upper and essentially monochromatic color schemes. The barely visible Air cushioning units add a degree of distinction, as frequently, these Air cushioning units are very noticeable on many Nike and Jordan sneakers. Because of its basketball design origins, the Jordan Courtside 23 looks best when paired with loose, casual clothing, such as oversized denim pants.

The Nike Air cushioning units has been proven to deliver exceptional cushioning on countless Nike sneakers, including the Jordan Courtside 23. Its outsole exhibits a variety of shapes and textures that offer traction on various surfaces.

During the 1987-88 NBA season, Michael Jordan won the annual Slam Dunk contest, crowned as the All-Star MVP, selected as one of the First Team All-Defensive, and awarded as the Defensive Player of the Year. And the shoe that the young MJ wore during this stellar career year is the Air Jordan III.

Peter Moore and Bruce Kilgore, two of the AJ I and II designers, left Nike due to various conflicts. They tried to convince Jordan to leave the brand too, to which he said no. As Nike is obviously adamant to continue the worldwide phenomenon Air Jordan series, it managed to hire sneaker designer Tinker Hatfield.

Hatfield and Jordan shared their concepts and visions to each other, as to produce the best shoe that will complement his style of play. Jordan specifically wanted a light but durable basketball shoe. Both of them agreed that the Air Jordan III would have a mid-top profile, which is the first J’s to be built as such. The famous Jumpman logo is placed at the back, with elephant prints along the toe box and sides.

The Air Jordan III was initially priced in 1987 for $100. Since its release up to now, the AJ III is among the most sought-after Jordans for sneakerheads and casuals due to its timeless design, support features, and exciting color schemes. Numerous polls and articles on the internet have concluded that the Air Jordan III is the greatest sneaker of the series.

As the brand recently celebrated the Air Jordan III’s 30th anniversary, it introduced a lifestyle sneaker which is inspired by the iconic basketball footwear. The Jordan Courtside 23 adapted the nuances of the AJ III’s outsole and the visible Nike Air units on the midsole.

  • Currently, the color schemes for the Jordan Courtside 23 are Black / Black / Black, Black / Gym Red / White / Black, Grey Fog / Light Bone / Sail / Reflect Silver, and Black / Particle Grey / Gym Red.
